I originally created this series for my own personal kitchen in my new house. (that hasn't been built yet). I wanted to build a kitchen wall tiled with three dimensional creatures interspersed throughout to captivate and make an unforgettable statement.
I was inspired by the vintage illustrations of Albertus Seba. His drawings are incredibly detailed and often they portray greatly exaggerated features.
I received such great feedback I decided to make some for my fans who asked if I could make them with a wire to hang.
