Giant Ceramic Octopus Vase. Size measures aprx 26"w x24"d x29"h. The glazes used are lead free.
This Giant Octopus Vase is completely handmade from start to finish using stoneware clay. The vase is made using the ancient technique of coil building. The octopuses or octopi are free formed. Each individual tentacle is rolled then hand carved with specialized tools to form the suckers. The artist has expressed the octopus is one of his favorite things to make. "I love making an octopus come to life. I find so much enjoyment and freedom making the tentacles look like they could move at any point."
